Overview
Xingqiu's burst creates rain swords that apply Hydro on attack and reduce interruption. His skill provides additional Hydro hits and damage reduction. He needs ~180-200% ER for consistent burst uptime. Level burst talent first, it scales rain sword damage.
How to Play
Cast skill then burst, then immediately swap to your Main DPS. Rain swords apply Hydro off-field, stay on your DPS character. Xingqiu rarely needs field time beyond skill/burst animation. Pair with characters who attack quickly for more Hydro procs.
Optimal Rotation
Xingqiu Skill, Xingqiu Burst, swap to DPS (Hu Tao/Xiangling/Raiden). Refresh burst when it expires. In National: Bennett Burst, Xiangling Burst, Xingqiu Skill/Burst, Raiden rotation.
F2P Options
Sacrificial Sword or Festering Desire are excellent F2P options. Emblem set with ER sands. Xingqiu is a 4★ available from banners, C0 is enough for all content. Prioritize burst talent level 8+.
Common Mistakes
Too little ER causes burst downtime, rain swords stop applying Hydro. Staying on-field with Xingqiu instead of swapping to DPS. Not leveling burst talent. Running Xingqiu without another Hydro character in Hu Tao teams can apply Wet on Hu Tao.
