Overview
Ganyu deals damage through charged Level 2 shots (frostflake arrows). Freeze teams use Blizzard Strayer for CRIT against frozen enemies. Melt teams use Bennett/Xiangling for Pyro application. She has high personal damage but needs shielding or freeze for charged shot safety.
How to Play
Hold charged attack for frostflake arrow, release at second charge level. In freeze, shoot frozen enemies for guaranteed CRIT. In melt, apply Pyro with Xiangling then shoot for melt damage. Use skill for taunt and emergency Cryo application.
Optimal Rotation
Setup freeze/melt, Ganyu charged shots until buffs expire, Ganyu Skill for taunt, repeat. Melt: Bennett Burst, Xiangling Burst, Ganyu charged shots. Freeze: Kokomi/Kazuha setup, Ganyu charged shots on frozen enemies.
F2P Options
Prototype Crescent R5 is excellent for freeze. Hamayumi works for general use. Blizzard Strayer for freeze is essential. Ganyu is comfortable at C0, Prototype Crescent competes with 5★ weapons on frozen targets.
Common Mistakes
Not charging to level 2 loses frostflake damage. Using Blizzard Strayer in melt teams, use Wanderer's instead. Charged shooting without shield/freeze against aggressive enemies. Building EM over CRIT in freeze teams.
